I have mixed feelings about living here. I live in a two bedroom on a top floor. The amenties are excellent: fireplace, vaulted ceilings with skylights, huge balcony, washer/dryer hookups, dishwasher etc. The location is fabulous, about a block away from I-40, the best shopping (Wendover), and easy access to all of Greensboro's major roads. The grounds are beautifully kept and maintence is a dream come true.

My only problem is that a couple of people in my building have gotten broken into. Both incidences are believed to be isolated. I know that this neighborhood is safe, especially for an apartment complex, but I must be honest that I often wonder if everything is OK at home when I am away.

It is probably just a "phase" that is happening in many apartment complexes, but I would have liked the leasing office staff to inform me to keep my eyes and ears open, that's all.

Aside from that, the price I have on my apt is amazing, but I will be looking to buy a townhome before my lease is out, because my rent will most like rise above a mortgage.

If you have pretty good credit you may qualify for a depost bond (I can't remember what it's called). Basically instead of paying the $500 refundable, you pay $80 NON-refundable so they can purchase a bond to cover any expenses that may come up when you move out. Most places always find something to charge you for, so this is awesome, especially if you were like me and didn't really want to wipe out the savings account for a deposit.
