I just want to say I am not happy here and have decided not to renew my lease. There have been some issues but pretty typical stuff I guess. The car break ins I can handle, I realize there is nothing "they" can do about it. It happens. But! the reason for my decision not to sign another lease is very basic; trust. First, car break ins, although I know that they don't make the thieves come, I wish they would at least tell us of things going on at the complex. You know, people will make noise; not everyone knows better but I do expect the office staff to respond to my issue. Even after my 3rd complaint, there has not been any improvement. The staff, although I do not have a real problem with the manager, I do have a problem with Kristen. So in an indirect way, I do have an issue with the manager because she is responsible for Kristen. Kristen is just not a pleasant person. Perhaps she has other issues and feels like she can take it out on the tenant. When I leased the apartment here, I met Kristen and she was so nice but then things changed. Enough about her though. And now, my lease is up and I am getting a huge increase. Apparently, I moved in on a great special because my new rent is going way up ($72) so I am moving. And not just because of the increase but becasue I want to at least feel good about who I am giving my $$$ to. Maybe things will change but the staff has lost my trust. Currently I am still looking. I've been a few places: Addison Point, Ashley Oaks, and Hunters Chase. They are all close to where I live now and I like being close to Wendover and I-40. Hunters Chase is on the top of my list and the crazy thing is they are right next to Camden Wendover but it feels like a totally different place. I met 2 of the people that work there when I went and they were very nice. The tenants were coming in and out while I was there and the staff knew their names. One of the tenants said I would love living here. I figure they should know; they live there. And 1 thing that really stood out is when Cindy (she works there) told me they did not get a commission so if I came back I could meet with anyone and they would help me. Valerie, she works at Addison Point was also very helpful. I need a 1 bedroom but they don't have one when my lease is up. Anyway, we'll see what happens. I will keep you posted!
