This place is horrible. Just over one month ago a woman was raped and the tenants were not informed. I happened upon an article online and discovered that we were lied to. I letter was sent out stating that there was a break in, but actually a woman was sexually assaulted. The management will not let me out of my lease unless something happens to me, but I do not want to wait around for that. Cars have been vandalized (tires slashed), and the management does nothing about it. They promised a community meeting to talk about these problems and never followed through! DO NOT LIVE HERE!

I am the Community Manager of Beacon Wendover. I am sorry that you feel anyone here was dinhonest but you couldn't be more wrong. We shared information that had been confirmed by the police and did not speculate, also, there is the issue of protecting the resident? We go the extra mile to ensure our community is as safe "as we possibly can" but unfortunately, crime knows no address. Regarding our community crime prevention awareness meeting that was promised, we did indeed conduct this meeting and sent flyers to each and every building, you must have missed yours. We will be having them on a more regular basis and I encourage you to attend. If you have any other questions regarding this incident or any other concern you may have, please do not hesistate to contact your management office, we are more than happy to answer any questions for you. Again, please know that your management team does respond to any and all issues but we are not the police and can only do so much.

Regarding the community manager's response: How can you suggest that your failure to notify the tenants about a sexual assault is in any way related to protecting the resident? What kind of logic is that? Notifying the tenants that a sexual assault occurred on the property does not infringe on the victim's privacy, but does give others the opportunity to take extra precautions. When I received your note regarding the break in, I had no idea of the extent of the crime, and I am horrified that I've been so ignorant to the potential danger. You are correct, you are not the police and cannot be expected to protect us all, but you should be expected to give us the necessary information to keep ourselves as safe as possible. "My management team" has failed me once again. I can't wait until my lease is up!
