Some people truley exagerate on this website. I think the best way to judge Friendly Hills is to do the pros and cons. I lived there for about 10 months and here was my experience:

Pros:
1. Beautiful scenery. Especially during the Spring and Summer when the flowers are in bloom.
2. Friendly neighbors. I had no problems out of anyone.
3. Spacious apartments. Until this day I have never had a bedroom as large as my 11-17' bedroom at Friendly Hills. The walk-in-closet was an added plus, and the living room was a nice size, too.
4. Gas heating. Not many apartments in Greensboro have this, but if you're an avid cook, like myself, you'll enjoy this added feature.

Cons:
1. Bugs. Ok, my seventh day in the apartment I had this freak-out ant infestation in my bathroom. Not my kitchen, not my pantry, but my bathroom.
2. Poor exterminators. I don't know who they were calling to exterminate the critters, but they sprayed the bathrooms and the ants went to my hallway and linen closet. Two weeks later, they finally died, but later appeared full-throttle in my bedroom closet and bedroom. It was like National Geographic gone haywire. These are water ants and these are most likely to be a problem on the first floor apartments. Crickets are also a common hinderance during the late summer. If you have no pets and want to get drastic, lay down aboric acid at the seal of the carpet and walls.
3. Irritating office staff. When I first arrived at this joint, I told them I was a student and that my rent was handled by my financial aid and that rent would be late in January because the Fin Aid people delayed it at the beginning of a semester. They said they'd excuse it, but by January, conveniently, the staff forgot and threatened eviction five days into the month. Very frustrating.

So, there are your pros and cons. Do with them what you willt.
