It appeared when first visited community, that it would in fact be a nice place to live, and clean. The apartments themselves are nice, however, you must overlook the grounds if you are gonna live here. It appears the rent is quite high for what you get. The grounds upkeep is a "JOKE". Mostly mud when it rains, and seems they only want to make very small areas look good for first appearances, but drive through and take a good look, trash everywhere, dirt, no fresh mulch or pine needles. Most of it is bare dirt, because the expensive rent evidently isn't enough to take care of the grounds. Maybe I am taking it too seriously, but I think when you pay this much for rent, you should be proud to walk in the neighborhood, and have friends and family over, but that is not the case here. I walked around today and was amazed at the unkept grounds, and the trash that is everywhere. When it rains, might as well get the canoe out, because there is obviously a drainage problem. Like I said the apartments are nice, if you don't have a noisy neighbor living above or someone next door that cooks god knows what, because you are gonna hear it and you are also gonna smell it. Oh, and how about you have to check your own filter and call if you need a new one, because they aren't going to take the time to check them periodically. My overall and professional opinion, I would not recommend Granite Ridge for these reasons. The staff seems very nice and knowledgeable, however it is obvious that it is all a numbers game, and as long as they keep them rented, and no matter to who, then they've done there job. But, I ask myself how can someone be so proud that the "residents" are just a number, a dollar figure that is reported to the home office. Who cares what the grounds look like, these people still have to have a place to live.......ever wonder that is exactly what they are thinking. You may think that I am someone just sounding off, but I have lived here 8 months and have giving this long and hard thoughts. Just never realized there was such a website to let others know. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Just remember keep your eyes and ears open, and make up your own mind. I wished I'd had someone tell me that before I moved here.
