When my family moved here in 2002, it was the best apartment complex that we had ever lived in. Since that time we have noticed some major changes as far as a new manager and a new maintenance man. Since these new changes things have gone down hill and we had to go. The apartments are nice and have alot of room, but there is alot of noise that you hear if you live on the first floor. You can hear your upstairs neighbors when they are in the bathroom or just about anywhere and you can also hear water running and something tapping above you all through the night. As far as the dumpsters it is a mess!!! Some days you will go DOWN there and it is trash all over the place and stuff all over the door handle and steps. You also see people with trash on their patios or sitting in front of there doors for days, I guess because of where the dumpster is located. Parking is ok just depending on how much parking you have around your building. Some buildings only have a certain number of spaces and you might find your self having to walk from 2 buildings down the street. The safety there was great, but don't count on the gate to protect you. The gate coming in was always broke and when it was working about 3 months total out of our entire time living there it did not open and close on the times that they said it would. Make sure that you get a remote so that if there is a long line trying to get in, you don't have to get out of your car on Tarrant to walk to the gate to enter your code to let a flock of cars in that may not live there. Oh, one last thing!!! The cable there is by a company called Media Works and they suck!! That is the only cable that you can have unless if you get Direct TV or Dish Network. They offer no channels and they are very expensive. Our child was used to watching all of the cartoon channels (disney ect.), that is not an option with them. To get an idea of our bill with HBO and basic was 52.90. Wihout the HBO, just basic was 40.95 which only gives you about 60 channels. If you do go with satellite, make sure that you can get a signal from your patio because they did not allow you to put them in the ground!!! All I can say is to visit the complex many times, including at different times of the day and days so that you can get a feel of the area for yourself. Goodluck in your search!!!!
