Hidden Lakes

I don't think Hidden Lakes is that bad of a place. Definitely not as bad as everyone says. The reason one of the buildings was condemned was because of a fire - they didn't want anyone in it while they were rebuilding it. The geese are annoying, sure, but I can put up with them. They're usually not anywhere that get in my way. I think the management staff are really helpful - anytime I've had a problem, they've done everything they could to help out, and quickly.
I haven't had too many problems with my neighbors, although the people next to me party (or at least they used to...it's been pretty quiet for a couple of weeks) and although the walls are pretty thin, everyone in my building is pretty darn considerate of everyone else. No one plays music too loud, stomps around too much, etc.
The rent price is really good, especially for a first apartment. I've lived here 8 months and only had 2 roaches, no other nasty creepy crawlies, no vandalisms or creepy people approaching me. I feel safe coming in at night, even if it's in the wee hours of the morning. I don't have a problem with energy bills, either. My bills are generally about $25-$35 a month for energy, and Hidden Lakes pays the water bills.
The parking thing is annoying...if you come home late at night, it can be kind of hard to find a parking spot.

I would definitely recommend Hidden Lakes to anyone looking for a decent apartment that is nice to look at inside and out, has a good maintenance staff that takes care of things quickly, and is a good price.
