Ive lived in Hidden Lakes for almost three years. Older apartment, but carpets and walls were clean and painted when moving in. Very (VERY) thin walls and noisy neighbors. Heating/air unit makes a loud popping noise when it comes on and is still very noisy when on. The lake views are nice, but hate the geese!!! Have not had any issues with crime however there was only a dead bolt on the door (installed a latch, helps when you're sleeping and you dont hear pest control/maintenence knocking). There were some other posts on crime, I live in the front and have not had any issues. No problem with bugs. Staff is very nice and helpful. They are in the process of doing some upgrading now, security gates, fitness center, landscaping, basketball courts. Nice area, close to everything. Nice place for a first apartment, somewhat small, but nice if you can stand the noise.
