I lived at Lake Brandt in 2 different apartments. The first one was ALWAYS surrounded by LOUD music, and obnoxious college students. I imagine if you are a student at either UNCG or NCA&T then you'll absolutely love living at Lake Brandt because you'll do as you please there as far as parties, noise and NO CONSEQUENCES! All of my complaints went unanswered with management, and all of the neighbors had attitudes when they were politely asked to turn the music down at 2AM. I work full time from 7AM to 5PM and have a long commute that required getting up at 5 but these folks didnt often go to bed before 2AM... I understand that the manager has since left the company, I can only hope that the new girl is a LOT more friendly and POLITE than the last manager treated myself and my husband. During our stay there among many other issues, we frequently had to deal with the rude manager, the maintenance men who were useless, and the horrible residents!
At one point we were told since our water was always going cold before I could finish a 10 minute shower, that they would have to BREAK THROUGH our wall to the neighboring apartment to disconnect THEIR water supply from OUR WATER HEATER! So they would use all the hot water and we'd be suffering with cold showers! Apparently ALL of their buildings were built with faulty configuration of water heaters because the resident USED TO GET FREE WATER. WHen they stopped doing that, the water was still screwed up and in the end, WE were paying FOR THEIR WATER BILL! Lake BRandt really needs to FIX this or other residents will start to figure out how that works. It's absolutely RIDICULOUS and if more residents knew about it, I beleive it would get fixed.
