I lived at Lake Brandt Apartments for a little over three years. In the beginning, it appeared to be a quiet community that was well kept and secured. However, the property management staff changed three times and with each changed the community changed. Within the last year and a half of my stay at Lake Brandt, I witnessed an assault occur in the parking lot in front of the building in which I resided, my vehicle (and two of my neighbor's) was vandalized, neighbors complained of having property stolen, numerous vehicles were broken into, and my down stairs neighbor was arrested on drug charges. When these incidents were reported to the staff, no action was taken. Furthermore, it took the maintenance staff three months to repair the lighting fixure that was malfunctioning in the apartment breezeway. The security gate was constantly out of order and finding the grounds littered with beer bottles and garbage became common. In addition, the management staff requires an unrealistic 60 day vancancy notice when you are planning to move. So if you are looking for an apartment in Greensboro and have checked out Lake Brandt, I suggest you keep looking.
