Best we've lived in so far

Maintenance service is quick and efficient. Office personnel are friendly and helpful. Staff always responds to concerns of renters.

Many different ages live here-old and young. Many children, bus stop for Florence and Southwest schools in front of complex. Too many speed bumps in complex. Moved here because we got more space for the money. Have lived here going on 4 years.

Apartments were built cheaply, in a rush from the looks of it. Walls are thin. Most apartments are on one level like town homes, so I have no overhead noise (at least until the FedEx hub comes). Never had a problem with plumbing, electrical, heat or air, except when power company lines were down for four days (2002). Three story complexes need an air conditioning unit in top widow to control temp. Most have these.

Nice trails around complex-good for athletic/recreation types. Deep River trail leads to Jamestown Park. Trail is a mix of paved road and wooden bridges. Trail goes under Wendover Ave. near a creek. Small playground in the middle of complex, could use improvement. Car washing area and coin-operated car vaccume. Fitness room small, rarely used. Pool rules excessive, but not always followed or enforced.

Laurel Bluff Circle is a big circle road with speed bumps. Must make a U-turn on Wendover at Tarrant Road intersection to get to complex if coming from High Point. When going to Greensboro, must make a U-turn as well. Many accidents at this intersection (Tarrant & Wendover), rumor has it that the state has just approved a turn signal at this light.

Sometimes parking at complex is a problem-if you have guests, technically your guests are not allowed park in front of your apartment. All apts. allowed 2 spaces, not assigned.

Complex only allows patio furniture, grills (must stand 10 feet away from building when in use), and plant items on back porches. Must scoop up dog poop.

Crime-only know of one incident-theft of car rims in three years. No knowledge of any other big happenings, except fire in neighbor's apartment. They left a candle on, which the dog knocked over. Fire did not spread to our apartment, but we could not hear their smoke alarm. Neighbors woke us up by banging on our door at 3 am. All smoke alarms maintained. Downstairs one may go off when toaster or oven gives off too much smoke.

Best apartment complex we have lived in so far. Half of the people live here temporarily, half have been here a while. 1999-2003, rent monthly at this time.
