St Croix is LOUD. During my year at St Croix I had ridiculously loud neighbors who would blast their stereos day and night, and the office staff were not helpful in dealing with this (instead calling me "too sensitive"). Many residents have loud speaker systems in their cars and make a lot of noise as they drive through the apartment complex. (One person would sit in his car at 4 am, blasting hip-hop music.) To top it off, the complex is near the train tracks; the train whistles blow during the middle of the night.

Regarding safety, last month someone broke into an apartment and shot at one of the people inside.

Many older residents have told me that the place has gone downhill. Apparently a former manager was much stricter. For example, people routinely leave their trash in the hallways and around the parking lots.

In my opinion, Greensboro has many apartment complexes that are much nicer, safer, and quieter than St Croix.
