I love how the only people writing in support of this dump are the management staff and people who don't even live here. That in itself should say plenty, folks.
I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned the water yet.
When I moved in, I was suckered in by a huge yellow sign right in the parking lot (designed specifically to sucker potential renters in) that said "WATER INCLUDED" or "FREE WATER" or a similarly impossible-to-misinterpret structure. So just imagine my shock when a few weeks ago we all get letters saying they're coming in to install water meters to submeter and charge us for our water. A subsequent review of my lease shows that they RESERVED THE RIGHT to charge us for water, despite assuring us verbally (and on the f'ing sign!) that WATER WAS INCLUDED IN OUR RENT.
Just today we get a "friendly notice" from the SOBs that the submetering has ALREADY STARTED. THANKS FOR THE HEADS-UP, A -----.
If only there was a way to break this lease and move out. Miserable doesn't even begin to describe this place.
If you wanna get lied to from the minute you tour this "lovely community," come on it to the Lodge at Lakeshore. At least in THAT respect you won't be disappointed!

I think this post shows the anger and frustration of almost every resident here. I would like to state in more detail one thing this person said. We were notified on 10.10.07 that we were being charged water starting 10.1.07. Yes that's correct folks, they notified us on the tenth that they had been charging us for water since the first. Whats the word I'm looking for... thats right he said it, A -----

I love the profanity that is coming out on this website. ok so the water is soooo bad. There were notices sent to inform us back when they installed the meters into our apartments almost 2 months ago. so i dont understand how you can act like there was no heads up. and, if you read the letter, the billing starts in october but you wont have to pay it until mid november. every property is going to charging water, you chose to live here as did i. if you dont like it, leave. although the office people seems to think that this is not actually current residents writing these comments. they think that it is bitter ex-residents or employees. so keep on writing mean things, cause i dont think that anyone really listens to someone cursing anyways.

Let's put this in basic terms. Move-in date - Mar Told water was FREE Notices sent out in Aug Saying we were going to pay for water WE WERE LIED TO AND TOLD OH WELL, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER! Now do you get it?

HappE, I wish I had your head-in-the-sand perspective. Believe me, people, I have the privilege of being a "bitter" current resident, no the joy of simply being an "ex-resident." I have lived here for long enough that when I moved in I was assured by the management that water was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF MY RENT. Call me crazy, but I dont see a lot of room for interpretation there boys and girls.

Yes this may be a prob. but its the is not the companys fault for chargin for water and they didnt have any say in the sub-meatering of the apts. I heard this first hand. yes they were paying it and it was not "included" in the rent because we were not actually payin anything extra for it. But when the city came through and sub-meatered then the city has a right to bill us for the water we use.
