this place was a piece of crap, and a waste of money
if u dont want to live in a dorm, this aint for u
if u have ever been to Barbee Hall on A&T's campus, you would rather stay there then University square
its an old hotel for cryin out loud
THE ROOMMATE PLAN
you and sum1 else, paying at least $350 for half a hotel room, with 1 laundry facility for 10 floors and 1 kitchen that folks forget their parents aint there to clean up after them...and u share 3 staves & 1 reg sized refrigerator amongst 10 floors
dont ask to get something fixed, they get there in a timel fashion, but you have to hear KEVIN criticize you about how you broke it, or whatever. he thinks he know everything, but clearly he doesn't because he is only maintenance
and they dont consider your heat lamp leakin nasty stuff on to your floor and emergency, but they do expect you to clean it up, even if it drips all weekend
THE CABLE
if you are like me, then u like tv and like gettin good cable
well, here, the cable package sucks
you get a selection of cable that THEY feel you need to watch while you stay there
a station didnt work until like 9months after i had been there
SECURITY
it really sucks, greatly
noise, yealling, loud music, running and playin in the halls and courtyard at 2am is awful
you can call front desk to have them handle the situation and is takes about 30minutes before the come and TRY to address the problem
and it like they promote marijuana usage
dont tell them someone is smokin on your floor, they will stand in the courtyard and look in to try and see who it is
like that really works, cuz most folks on the ground keeps their curtains pulled and you cant see the other 9 floors from the courtyard
and if they know its you all they say is quit or next time they will call the cops

you better have renters insurance
the fire alarm gets pulled like all the time
and u never know when its a real one or not
people play with the fire extinguishers...hello, i thought we were growing up,a not trying to go to jail for kiddie acts
PLEASE, dont like ice cream
they give you those little refrigerators, but your ice cream will clearly melt in them, so you might put it in the main fridge, on the ground floor
dont expect to go back in there about 20minutes afterwards to eat it because more than likely it will b gone
and the square wont reimburse you for not having cameras in the kitchen to catch the theives
i lost more than $75 worth of food because someone took it upon themselves to say hell, u put it here, so i will put it in my stomach
dont believe there is survellance everywhere like they say
i could keep going, but its not really necessary
i am one of many with a story and bad feeling about this place...it should be your last resort
new management and prices went up
what u spend on a room with the roommate plan, you can clearly rent somewhere that will offer you a private room, own kitchen and living room, with a great cable package
a groundfloor room with roommate plan now starts at $350
its really not worth it
and a single room price is stupid, when u can clearly get a REAL apartment...rent and utilities should come out to the price of the single room, groundfloor price
live at your own risk, because i risked it and was out early because they offered me not to pay mt last months rent if i could vacate to help them renovate.
the square extreme makeover is a mess

what is a stave??? and you say your in college??? and obviously not an english major...and where can you get an apartment with all utilities included for $575 a month???? not in this city you can't, much less for $350, which is the price of a roomate plan, some people think that for $350 or $575 they should be treated like royalty, it is time to grow up now, thats what college is about, learning about the real world, being independent and seeing how things worl without mom and dad there to take care of everything, thats how I was raised anyway, maybe your parents sheltered you to much.

Shame when all a person can point out is grammar/english mistakes. Although it's almost 2 years later since this review was put up, I agree and can say that nothing has changed since this review. The place still sucks and you'd be better off paying the extra $100 or $200 to stay somewhere else. Atleast then you'd have reliable utilities.
