MOLD EVERYWHERE in the apartment. Management failed to comply with minimum housing codes. Also, mold that was growing from previous occupancy was PAINTED over NOT cleaned...that is disgusting! Once informed about the situation the office manager did not take immediate action to solve the problem, nor did she say or do anything abou the fact that mold was painted over. The office manager also offered to put my roommates and I up in another mold infested apartment. The elevators are always breaking down and there is a musty smell no matter what you use; incense, air freshners, candles, potpourri, etc. The windows do not open, they are sealed shut, but they leak water all over the place when it rains. The appliances are old and usually break down within 2 months - there are several rust spots all over the refrigerators. The furniture is old and musty. I tried to move the dresser in my room to a different spot and the whole bottom of it chipped off on the carpet. The air conditioner blows out smell air, probably because there is mold growing in that too. In fact, if you are living there now you might want to check that out. There are cockaroach problems. If your neighbor is a slob expect the cockaroaches to be present in your unit as well. The walls are NOT sound proof at all and the whole entire building is just disgusting. I do not blame any of these problems on the maintenance personnel because they do all they can. The office manager needs to make SEVERAL rennovations in the entire building, or better yet, have the health inspectors shut the place down!!!
