My girlfriend lived here for a year and then I sub-leased from her a took it over once the sub-lease ran out. No problems then because i paid my girlfriend the deposit and let the current deposit just carry over. However when I moved out I had to fight with the manager as I was moving into my new place in MEMPHIS TN over getting my deposit check. She took my forwarding info when I turned in my key, checked the apartment said I left it in pristine condition and that my check would be in the mail shortly. Once I was in Memphis the story changed to "Your deposit check went to replace carpet, blinds, etc. It took four(4), yes i said four, months of back and forth phone calls, letters, and a threat of taking it to small claims court to get my deposit back. Also, due to her ineffectiveness and cheapness, a neighboring apartment was left uncleaned after it was vacated, which drew roaches into my apartment on multiple occasions because the cheap bug guy she repeatly(6)called didn't have anything powerful enough to kill them or the forethought to check the adjoining apartment. It was only after a month or two of problems that she finally anted up and the problem was finally taken care of.
