As many others have already stated, what initially drew me to Pirate's Place was the fact that it was right across from the Dowdy Ficklen Stadium. Being a sports fanatic, it's great being able to tailgate in my community and then walk to the football and baseball games. Another feature about the location of these apartments is that the Minges bus stop is right across the street. Fortunately, the bus arrives every five minutes so it's simple and convenient to arrive on time to class even if I just woke up 20 minutes before the class is scheduled to start.

Another important aspect of this apartment complex is the maintenance staff. The guys are so quick and efficient, usually getting whatever problem or issue a resident is experiencing fixed the SAME DAY that it was reported. They aren't bad looking either!!

The security is top notch in this apartment complex. I know there are at least 2 officers that live on site and patrol through the parking lots at night to make sure there aren't any shady characters strolling through. When they aren't driving through the lots, they usually post up at the front and back entrances to watch the residents and their guests come in and out. I feel safe walking through the community at night knowing that these officers are actually looking out for me.

The rent on these townhomes is more than fair. Pirate's Place was recently bought out by American Campus Communities and they lowered my rent from $295.00 to $265.00 per month so I really find no reason to complain.

In addition, the management is awesome! I love the fact that they are young and are actually willing to help you out if there are any problems with your bills/roommates/life in general! Also, they frequently plan socials and parties for the residents that usually consists of a cookout and a live band around the clubhouse area.

I have lived here for almost a year and I am yet to have any problems with this place. With this location and an unbeatable rent rate, it's going to be hard to leave come graduation time!
