Good Apartment, Can't Ask for Much More

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I stayed at Treybrooke for the past 3 years and have really enjoyed it. I have never felt unsafe, especially compared to the rest of Greenville. The facilities are well kept, the staff has always been cheerful and friendly, and any maintainence problems were always corrected in a reasonable amount of time. They do have night security which occasionally patrol the grounds.
The apartments have two pools, tennis courts, volleyball, and two large areas that allow for soccer, kite flying, or other playtime. There is also a small dog park on grounds. The staff attempts to have several community programs, which is a nice touch. On a nice day, you will always see people at the pool, grilling, or jogging. You are within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the ECU Med School / Pitt Memorial Hospital Campus, which is so convienent for those of us who work there. Being on the top floor, noise has never been a problem (I have heard that can be a problem on the lower floor apartments). Ample parking (although you may not always be directly in front of your stairwell), and enough extra parking for guests.
The one real negative is their pet rent policy. They are pet friendly, but charge both a deposit and monthly rent. I refuse to pay both (in my opinion pet rent is theft), so I don't have a pet. I personally would like to see them go to a higher pet deposit (with some refundable) and no pet rent.
Overall, this would be a place I would recommend for smaller families, young professionals, or college students. It is as good as it gets in Greenville.
