It's okay.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I have been living here at Eastbrook Apartments. Rent is 540.00 a month. Before we moved here, we asked around and liked what we saw. Big Master bedrooms and walkin closets, great size second bedroom with semi big closet. Small kitchen with the washer and dryer in there, crappy refrigator, needs to be updated. Kinda small dining space area, nice size living room area, and a closet right behind the front door, which is big, for closets and such. I assumed since moving in like most, our electric bill would be around 100.00, however we are paying about 250.00-300.00 a month on electric. I have complained to managment about our air conditon units. They have been updating and giving everyone new ones, but during the hot wave in the summer our apartment which is on the second floor was like 80 - 90 degrees. They didn't do anything. Even now our air condition runs all the time and helps cause the huge electric bill. Not every apartment is like this. Also, living on the second floor is a hell of a lot hotter than living on the first. So I recommend the first. The staff is very nice, however, Jeane Wright, the property manager seems like an air head almost like George "where did he go, where did he go'" lost, dazed and confused. The maintance men are extremely friendly and helpful. I give them a lot of credit. We have a full bath, good size. the tub is proclain, with painted over rust spots. THey just need to update it all. The facets and toliets leak. They paint over mold etc. The cabinets, in bathrooms and kitchen, have no proper baseboards. The bath room tub has the little white tiles that good most of the way up to the ceiling, they need to be replaced, have holes in the grate, mold grows fast even with using bleach. You can see where they just puttied over holes in walls, and cracks that seem to finally come out say hi. We happened to get a ceiling fan in the master and dining room, which is a blessing. The stove/oven needs a little updating. I know that using the dryer makes the electric go up but we usually only use it once a week. We painted the walls, which is allowed. There are double windows in the living room, in the guest bedroom and two sets in the master. Everything leaks, which may make the hot water heater run more and make the electric go up. Good enough cabinet space everywhere, kitchen, bathrooms. Overall it's okay. Friendly neighbors, I feel safe. There has only been one party in the courtyard and it wasn't loud.
