I am here to say that as a previous resident of Parkway Crossing in Concord, not Harrisburg, that I was more than satisifed with my stay and had it not been for family obligations, I would still be there. I was born and raised in a very small town in north eastern PA. After lots of research and a visit to Parkway, I felt that this was going to be the next best thing to home. The community is quiet and clean, yet conveniently located to everything. The property manager is by far one of the nicest gals you will ever meet AND Delmar, (yes the maintenance guy)is as equally nice. I didn't know anyone in North Carolina when I moved there but within weeks, I became part of the Parkway family.

As with any business, employees come and go and there will be times when being short staffed is misconstrued as bad service, but I guarantee you that any service issues were simply due to the fact that two people can only be stretched so far. Darla would be at that office long after 'normal' business hours most days of the week and Delmar would come out anytime day or night for a serious problem.

If people are so worried about safety, then maybe they should come off their high horse and get out and meet the neighbors and participate in the community events, rather than sit on their computers and write nasty reviews. If you want to see nasty reviews, then maybe you should check out the apartment reviews for the 'other' apartments within the surrounding area. We live in a society where shootings occur. They can occur anywhere and unfortunately one did occur at Parkway. It was the first in Parkway's history and there have been none since. The area is patrolled by police on a regular basis to ensure the safety of the community. If you want a totally safe community, free from shootings and other violent crimes then I recommend you move away from the Charlotte area because clearly it is not for you, nor anyone wanting total protection from crime...Shangra La is a myth!

If you have the opportunity to live at Parkway, you might just want to take it. You aren't going to find anything better.

Let me guess, you haven't had to have anything fixed? I am sure of that. Oh, it is no question that Darla is a great manager. I totally agree with that. Delmar is a nice person as well but he DOES NOT fix things in a timely manner!! Being short staff, is no excuse, GET MORE HELP! When Delmar is called off to fix things at another apartment complex owned by David Drye, to leave his primary job SOL, well that is not cool. If he would stop drinking so much maybe he would want to take care of those service calls sooner. However drinking or not I must say that he does to a great job, when he does the job. The police comes around here because someone is always calling them. It is a quiet palce for the most part, when the childern aren't running up and down the passages like a herd of animals. Their parents never say anything about it. As far as Delmar if you can't get to it anytime soon then say that. Don't act like someone else was taking care of the problem and you did not know that it wasn't done. It has gotten really old. Poor Darla she believe's what ever he says. I guess about 6 different families have the same stories because they are out to get Delmar. I doubt that. Like them I thought that he may had something against us. But I now know that it is not personal, it's just Delmar. For the most part it is okay, I move in April and I will be glad to leave, however I still would not recommed this place to anyone.
