We have lived here for several years but will be leaving soon because this place has gone so far downhill. Many many things are wrong here. And rents here are not cheap. 3 bedroom apts. are about $950 per month.

A woman named Shirley has been the manager for several months. The manager before her was great but Shirley cares nothing about tenants comfort or safety. She will rent to anyone that has enough money to get in. Money is her first priority.

The complex has become so shabby-looking it's disgusting. Trees behind and around the apartments are not kept trimmed and are now so overgrown its impossible to walk w/o running into branches. Tree branches are growing into screen rooms on some of the apts. Shrubbery needs trimming so bad it looks like a jungle. The entire complex could use a paint job and repairs. Outside lighting is very poor.

This once was a quiet, peaceful, attractive complex. But several months ago a group of rude unruly unsupervised children started taking over the place - their parents are rarely around - the kids scream constantly instead of talking in normal voices, leave their bikes, trash and toys all over the sidewalks, hog the swimming pool, play on the equipment in the exercise room (they shouldn't even be in the room - they are too young), and run aorund outdoors as late as 1 A.M. Some evenings they are outside for 4 or 5 hours at a strecth - yelling, throwing tantrums, leaving garbage all over the complex.

Kids stand at one end of the street and SCREAM at the top of their lungs to get other kids attention instead of simply walking to where the other kid is, like normal people would do. Their parents do nothing about the noise despite repeated requests from other tenants to have thier kids be quieter. Neither the kids or parents have decent manners or respect for other people.

The swimming pool hours are unitl 9 p.m. but these kids and some adults are often there much later making noise. It is impossible to sleep or relax since these wild kids and their lazy parents moved here.

Call are often made to police because of noise.

Also, crime has become a problem here -- A few months ago a SWAT team was here to arrest 3 tenants that had been selling drugs for months, which Shirley knew about. Compliants by tenants to Shirley were ignored. Last week an apt. was broken into and valuables were stolen. Our suggestion to Shirley that a police officer live here and be given free rent in exchnge for keeping an eye on the complex was laughed at.

Complaining to Shirley is a waste of time - she is only interested in getting that good old money. She is also so abrupt, impatient and indifferent to tenants when we go to her with apt.-related problems that many of us have stopped seeking her help. Instead we move out. She needs to be replaced by someone that is actually interested in something more than just getting tenants money.

Shirley needs to live in one of these apartments for a week and put up with the screaming kids outside her door at 1 a.m. or try to walk down a sidewalk without tripping over a bike or try to sleep while a dozen people are in the parking lot yelling and playing loud music in their cars or live in fear that her apt. will be the next one to be burglarized. Then she will know what we are forced to live with day in and day out - thanx to her and the owners lack of caring for nothing but getting money.
