Please believe the reviews! I came to this same site before I signed my lease at Copper Mill Village...but I believe it couldn't be that bad. The model looks great, the staff seemed nice, it's close to where I work so I moved in.

The problems starting a month later, Feb 2008. My roommate and I noticed a strong odor coming from underneath our sinks and our closet which holds the hot water heater. We called in a maintenance order for someone to come out to see what the problem was. They sprayed the coils with cleaner and changed our air filter. This did not resolve the issue. We called in several times after that but no one even came out to our residence and if they did they did not leave a work order or put at work order in the main office. Keep in mind we have went through 4 managers through this whole process.

Over the year of 2008 we have continued to call the office almost on a weekly basis to try and resolve this problem. We have spent hundreds of dollars on air fresheners, candles, etc. to cover this smell (which does not work). Copper Mill Management always promises to call and does not, or always promises to send someone out to the apartment and does not. I cannot begin to explain how many times we have had to follow up with management to try and resolve this issue. The things they have done to try and resolve the issue is only through our CONSTANT persistence. They cannot figure out why or what is causing this smell.

As of today Feb 09, one year later, we are still having this same problem. Management offered to move us to a new apartment but refuse to pay for our moving expenses. They refuse to take anything off our monthly rent for the inconvenience and stress this has caused us.

I work full time and I am a full time student. I do not have the time or the money to move to an another apartment in Copper Mill or another apartment for that matter. I have a large amount of belongings and furniture that cannot be moved unless moved professional. They expect us to come out of pocket for all moving expenses. I cannot wait until Dec when our lease is up so I can get out of this place.

Hopefully the next place we find will actually CARE about there residents.
