I am currently nearing the end of my second 1 year lease here, and I will not be renewing my lease. It doesn't really have that much to do with the complex itself. I have few complaints, and most of them are minor. Of course, you can hear some noise from the hallway, but I rarely hear anything from the apartments on either side of me. I have never had a problem with noise complaints, although I don't play music very loudly, except occasionally during the daytime. The maintenance staff is friendly, and pretty helpful. Last summer, our AC went out, and they came to fix it within a day or two. My building is pretty quiet, and even when I can tell that someone on my floor is having a party or has people over, it rarely bothers me. The biggest complaint about these apartments that I have is that since I've moved in, the quality of my neighbors has gone down. When I first moved in, it seemed like most of the people who lived here were young professionals, families, or college students. Now, there are all sorts of unsavory characters around. Hordes of sketchy looking teenagers are always walking right down the middle of the road, douche bags with loud stereos are constantly trying to outdo each other, and rednecks with beat up Mustangs and Firebirds feel that they need to overcompensate for their small dicks by revving their engines every time they pass by someone. The Management is not the best, but I haven't experienced any of the problems that I've read about on this site. It seems like most of the people writing these reviews have never lived in an apartment complex before, and didn't know what to expect. I would imagine that they were also difficult and uncooperative tenants, and that the "horror stories" they post with them painted as an innocent victim are very one sided. All in all, not the greatest place to live, but not a bad place to start. Certainly better than most of the apartments in High Point.
