I have been a resident since November 07 and it began and will end as a nightmare. The apartment we signed a lease for was not the one we received because the office staff messed it up. I had already changed all my mail and bills and had to do it AGAIN because of incompetence. I also requested a first floor unit because of my severe asthma and got a second level. The first week we were here our upstairs neighbors alarm clock went off at 4am and sounded like it was in our room. The walls are very thin! The alarm went off for TWO HOURS straight. We called the company that handled security and noise and they never came out. We have dealt with this issue and called and complained to the office and that company (that they no longer have) almost 20 times and not one time did someone come in to our apartment and listen to the noise. The neighbors are still loud at all hours of the day and night.
The pool in the back of the apartment complex was closed most of the summer which also closed access to the gas grills and my husband and I had to throw away a lot of freezer burned food because of it. The solution the office staff offered was for us to drive our food to the front and use that pool. What a hassle! Plus that pool was overcrowded because everyone was having to use that one pool most of the summer.
The entire office staff is incompetent and rude. One will tell you one thing and someone else says they are wrong and tells you another. The parking situation is terrible. Very limited handicap parking and when cars are double parked or broken down they say there is nothing they can do or it takes days for them to ticket or tow. I won't even go into the mess I had today that led me to finally write this review. Being disabled makes no difference to them!
Save your sanity and your money and buy a house like we are doing! It would be much cheaper because they increase your rent every time you renew! It looks nice on the outside but once you are stuck in your lease, you realize how bad it really is!

Just to let you know, you need ot file a complaint with HUD for desriiination on your disability. FYI: Laurel sPrings has already been turned in 1 time to HUD and got in trouble for it for fair housing violation.

Ok, I am sorry that you are disabled, but please, use some common sense.
1. You live in an apartment complex, not a house! please try to understand that! I am glad you are getting a house now, but when you live in an APARTMENT complex, expect noise, etc.
2. The pool was closed probably for a good reason, just be glad there is a second pool, most of the apts around high point area DOES NOT have a pool period. And o, about your meat, have you heard something called a george foreman grill? Walmart on N Main sells them, pick one up! It's much better than the pool grill, and you can use it in your apt!
3. About parking, please there are plenty of parking spots, name another complex that has more parking than this one.
I am glad you got a house. Now you can park in your drive way and cook on your grill, but prob no pool
Bottom Line people, please try to understand one thing, Some people are just NOT MEANT TO LIVE IN AN Apartment setting, no matter where the apartment is! If you are one of them, then you are not going to be happy ANYWHERE! So please, buy yourself a house!

I beg to differ, not sure if these other two responses live there or have lived there but I did and I had a nightmare of an exsistance as well! The office staff constantly harrass tenants with postings and threats to do this or that due to some tenants not abiding by what are probably the strictest rules and regulations you could ever imagine. You would think at the price of those places some allowances and freedom to live would be allowed.. TOTALLY RIGHT about the rent going up constantly and GOD forbid you have pet! Heck that is another security deposit to the tune of say??? $400 .. this place is a nightmare in itself glad I got out when that lease ran up!!!! Best thing I ever did.

Please find me an apartment complex that
1. doesn't charge an outrageous amount for pets and
2. doesn't increase your rent every time you renew.
Some of you sheltered whiners really need to get out more.

I recently viewed the apartment complex and I thought there was too much handicapp parking. However, I have an issue with your comment about throwing away freezer burned food....that is a sad and pitiful excuse. The gas grills was unavailable so you wasted food instead of cooking it on your stove. I beleive your next move should be into your own home. This is the only solution to your housing issues.
