Prepare to get taken advantage of after first year.

I could focus on reinforcing a lot of the existing complaints from other renters, like the degraded neighborhood (kids smoking pot in the halls' Sure, why not)(Center/Hub-caps stolen from wheels along with about 20 other complex residents' Sure, why not)...but living quality aside, I want to warn potential renters of what to expect when their lease expires. When we signed up for a 1-year lease, we agreed to about $600 a month. A year later, the laurel springs website was advertising the floor plan for $550 - at the same time, we received our renewal rates. For another one year lease we would be paying about $610. If we wanted to go month-to-month, it would cost us $740 a month. Basically, Laurel Spring's business strategy is to lure you in with a low rate, then jack it up once you're settled hoping you'll just deal with it. I understand inflation and the desire to motivate renters to re-sign leases, but a $190 per month price difference on the same floor plan' We paid our dues, we shouldnt have to continue being locked in after the first year just to keep a resonable rate. There are limits to what's fair, and i don't think encouraging a revolving door of renters is going to work out in their favor in the long run. A co-worker of mine left a few months ago with the same complaint, and I'm happy to say I followed suite. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
