i moved there in dec 2003. first apartment. and very happy even though there is not much to choose from in hillsborough.

even though i didnt have a balcony, i enjoyed the extra room. all my friends and family loved how spacious my one-bedroom was. and yes we have to pay a water bill but we DO NOT PAY FOR CABLE and not just the 10 channels of cable but everything but the movies and DIGIPIC. that is a bigggggg plus.

the maintenance guy was nice and when they said that he was on-call anytime for emergencies they meant it. a lady was taking a shower above me and the water leaked through the ceiling just as i was heading out to work that night. i called the maintenace guy and even though it was 1 in the morning, he was there in 30 minutes with no complaints.

never saw a bug until 11 months later. i killed it and never saw anymore.

like i said previously, i worked 3rd shift and my saftey as i was a young woman heading to work alone was important. i was never scared to leave my home.

i did have an old lady complain about "me walking in high heels" all the time even though i worked 80 hours a week and i didnt wear 3 inch heels to cook sausage. so yes the walls were thin. but she ended up moving to the apt. over because i wasnt going anywhere.

my move was rather quick and i waited till the last minute to turn in my keys with the lights off at 6 at night. the nice manager said she would send me a letter after inspecting my apartment. i wasnt charged a thing and i even forgot to clean the stove OOPS MY BAD!

As a close, i made the biggest mistake moving to raleigh closer to my job. the crap i live in now for the same price does not compare and i would have rather taken the 30 minute drive if i would have known my new place would not have been like heritage.
