I recently moved into the Heritage Apts., and the site manager was most helpful with intially showing me the apartment layouts, then promptly, getting my paperwork taken care of and any problems I had with my intitial move-in. The maintenance staff has been very timely in repairing any problems I have had. The laundry facilities are clean and new, and the fitness center is fair. Could stand a few more machines, but generally has most of what the average exercise enthusiast needs. Patriots Point Apts. located just up the road, has an incredible fitness center if that is a priority. There is also a pretty nice swimming pool and clubhouse at Heritage.

The area is naturally pleasing with a mountain with hiking trails and a lake across the street at the Ocaneechee Mtn. State Park. The downtown Hillsborough area has a lot of great history to include the Hillsborough/Orange County History Museum and the home of William Hooper, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. There are terrific restaurants (The Wooden Nickel and Tupelo's) with outdoor sidewalk seating and a wine shop with regular wine tastings, a coffee shop, and an open air Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

Just hope this quaint little community stays a great kept secret for a while. For those who want to live in Historic Hillsborough, Heritage Apts. are new, clean, spacious, and safe, but a little noisy through the floors.

My only BIG complaint would be my enighbors who live above me are a quite noisy durig the evening hours. I wish contractors would build thicker ceilings in apartment complexes!
