These are my comments that I feel, if I were looking for a new apartment, would be very important in my decision on which apartment I would choose.





Birkdale Villageis located in a very prime location in Huntersville, NC. The only positive thing I have to say about this property is it looks good from the outside, but like they say, "Don?t judge a book by it?s cover."


The thrash issue is absolutely ridiculous, overflowing and rotting thrash remains behind dumpsters. Street lighting works about 50% of the time. Security entrance for parking decks is one of the perks promised, that was what we were told when we moved in early 2002, they have never worked and are still not working today.


Maintenance requests are not answered until about the third request,we did not receive a response until we sent an email to Crosland.


Our phone messages are never returned.


There was a fire at one of the other bldgs. and the Property Manager never sent a letter to inform tenants that everything was ok or even to let us know what happened.





These apartments were really new when we signed our lease and they had their promotion going, so it should not make a difference what you are paying on your rent for the apartment, the service should remain the same. In the end they still own these apartments and they are only hurting themselves by not maintaining their property for future tenants.
