THe apartments are nice and there is some noise as in some of the reviews above., The real problem we have had with Birkdale is they go up on rent everytime you renew your lease. You would think they would want to keep thier tentants that have been there however they offer deals to all new tenants. Then you talk to your neighbors to find out they are paying 200 less a month. It is sad but true. Maintence is also a nightmare as well. The office NEVER CALLS YOU BACK EVER!!!!!

Every renewal anywhere you lease is gonna go up after a year because the market of that aparment goes up. Same as gas and everything else in this world. All apartment complexes are like that, so dont be surprised if your rent somewhere and it goes up in a year.

That is not true that all apartments are like that. Many offer residents who resign their lease a discount or an "incentive" to resign with the apartment complex. It is simply a good business descision on the part of apartment managers to harbor good will with their residents, as they are the ones who recommend new residents and give reviews for future residents to see!
