This person is not hilarious and this was true for them. Not everyone will have the same experiences that is why it is imporant to be honest about your situation like the person above with the legal matter and the first responder does not have a right to negate their experiences. This is usually the work of one the communities staffers who are supposed to identify themselves as such but they never do. When you talk to the office staff they act as if sites like this are horrible and irrelevant but they visit them often and if they have a good rating will gladly tell you so. I can not positively say it is a staffer but it is suspicious. I had a situation with Birkdale where they stole merchandise from me that was shipped to the wrong address. I ordered something from a company that I have ordered from frequently and used my new address prior to moving but the company shipped to my old adddress Birkdale and Birkdale kept the merchandise and their policy clearly states any unclaimed merchandise would be returned to the shipper. The new manager over their - a guy is a prick. He is horrible, he strikes me as an uneducated nut who feels he must prove himself on every matter, he has no people skills, he is ---- and uneasy. He does not understand how to run a business. I know a person who was living there three months ago and they went to the mailbox while the mailman was there and lauhged at how many red notices (indicates the number of people who have moved) that were in the mailboxes. The mailperson will have all boxes open will filling them.

Please understand the postings here; no one is saying that Birkdale does not have nice apartments - they do. NO one is saying that the environment is not nice if thats your kind of thing - it is. Most complaints have been about the office staff. I am sorry but they suck big time for the money they are charging.

FYI-it is against fair housing laws to say it is not a kid community. If you don't like kids, move to a seniors center, dummy.

WHATEVER! WHO THE HELL WANTS TO PUT A KID IN AN APARTMENT. I live here as well, But I certainly don't need a rascall running all over the place unless you are on the first floor.FYI Birkdale puts people in the back with other kids. So y'all are dummies!

RE: HAPPILYCHILDESS I posted the original post on this matter. First, I would like to say that I agree with this review. The staff is Horrible! Nevertheless, let me get back to why I am posting this comment... HAPPILYCHILDESS...you do not know what you are talking about. I have children and I live on the main street (Birkdale Commons Pkwy). My wife is a nanny and she takes care of several children in Birkdale Village, which happen to all live on the main street. If you actually live in Birkdale (which I doubt), you would know that most of the apartments in the "back" on Formby Road are vacant, I take my dog for a walk every day (and yes, I pick up after her) and pass by the open windows of vacant apartments every day... I guess the poor management of Birkdale is starting to show!
