I moved in mid december and the very next day there was a home invasion where six men beat up two women and a baby. since then (only two months) I know of two more arrests (assualt with a deadly weapon). and one more arrest for vandalism.
My apartment is horrid. the air conditioner doesn't work. there is a hole in my tub, and the plate that the shower spicket comes out of it came off the wall. I have not garbage disposal or dishwasher. the carpets stink like cigarettes and the deck is filthy (and still has crap from the last tenant on it). My floor creak horribly when I walk on it, and if ANYONE in the building shuts there door the whole building shakes like jello. My neighbors have parties every weekend...and think standing in front of my door at 2am is a good thing to do. Even though its against apartment policy, people drink alcohol outside there apartment.
It IS a mexican ghetto as well. I refuse to use the laundry area since everytime I go there the latino tenants stare at my like i'm an alien.
