Archstone is located in a very nice area, but that is about it! My roommate and I thought it was going to be a great experience, the staff was so friendly, until we moved in. After that it seemed that all they wanted from us was our money, and anything we had to say was creating too much trouble for them, especially Judy in the office. Our neighbors on the first floor have 2 kids who leave their bikes and toys all over the steps and sidewalk and draw with sidewalk chalk on the building itself. Management has never followed through with correcting this. The wind blows right through the windows, even with they are shut and locked, they are obviously not insulated well. Durring the ice storm that is going on right now, they never even bothered to put salt on the parking lot, or on the steps -- Also the lighting is very poor, the lights stay on for about 15 seconds and then go off. There are also continuious issues with our gates working. Sometimes the gate to exit the complex will not let you out, and you have to go out the enterance! I am not normally a negative person, but I feel that as much as I pay for rent my concerns should be handled in a kind and timely fashion -- not so with this community. I have already given my termination notice and will be moving out early. They need to make some changes or they will continue to lose valued residents.
