I just moved out of these apartments, where I rented a 2-bedroom 2-bath for a year. I bought a house and am paying the same amount each month to purchase, not rent and that includes principal, interest, taxes and home owners association fees, on a 3 bedroom 2 bath with a garage, a nice yard, and in a great neighborhood (even a pool). I moved in when the apartments were managed by Archstone and the staff were all very friendly and I never had problems with repairs. Marquis took over and I have not had any good experiences. They tried to raise my rent - I was already paying a ridiculous amount - and are trying to charge me an arm and leg for damages that are completely ludicrous. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone, whether relocating to the area or even just because you don't want the responsibility of owning your own home. I am a responsible dog owner, and there is dog crap everywhere. There are no parking spaces available after 8pm and when they began to "repair" and add new sidewalks they tried to block off most of the parking lot, there are frogs, snails and bugs everywhere because of the swampy area. The gate worked for maybe a month that I lived there... It was just all around a bad experience.
