When I first moved to Summit, I loved it. The staff (Stacy, Gina, and Shelby) were all excellent and friendly. However, as time has gone on, the office staff has gotten worse. I understand how some of these reviewers feel when they say they feel like office staff doesn't care to do anything about their problems. Also, crime has been on a high rise in the past year. I have had my car broken into, as well as many other cars around my apartment have been broken into as well. Although action was finally taken to contact the Huntersville Police Dept. and form a Community Watch, it took months on top of months to put in place. I don't feel as safe at Summit as I once did. Also, maintenance needs a lot of work. They come in to do a job and leave a mess. Then, you as the renter, are charged for the stains on the carpet they leave, or the mess they create. Also, it seems that every month they figure out a new "fee" to add to the water bill. In the past two years my water has went from 5.00 a month to almost 20.00 a month, because of excess fees. Stacy, hats off to you for continuing to give great customer support. However, I would not recommend anyone move here until some things are changed. And yes, parking is terrible...but it usually is anywhere unless you have your own house. And if you don't like a lot of bugs, critters, or other creepy crawlies....don't live here either....the caulking on the doors and weather strips are terrible....even after replaced. I have had Orkin spray 3 times in the past 3 months for centipids because of the high mold in the apartments.
