Nice at first, then its all downhill...

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
Lets see, I have been wanting to do this for a while now. My fiancee and I actually went as far as to break our year long lease in order to get out of this place! I wanted to rant on here about Summit Sedgebrook shortly after moving out, however I talked myself into waiting a while to "cool off" before posting on here. Anyways, its been more than a year since we have moved out, and now I feel I can fairly evaulate their apartment complex.
After looking at 10 different apartments in the Huntersville area, we decided to go with Summit Sedgebrook. It seemed to be in a nice location (close to the interstate and main highways), well kept, friendly, safe, and it just "felt like home".
This "felt like home" feeling lasted until about a month after we moved in. The once overly friendly and accessible staff all of a sudden were moody, unpleasant, and NEVER to be found when you needed something. The parking situation, although cramped, is not too bad unless you try to find a spot after about 7pm, then the parking lot becomes pure hell.
The "system" that this place uses is all screwed up as well. I could call the office right now and say that I saw someone in apartment 3-A not clean up after their pet, or they were being too noisy, etc. and sure enough they would get a formal complaint filed against the tomorrow morning with no investigation or anything. This happened on not one, or two, but THREE seperate times. Supposedly, we were reported for "not cleaing up after our dog" on 2 different occations. Funny thing was that when one of these complaints were filed, we were gone to my fiancee's parents house for the weekend.
We also had a noise complaint filed against us, which I also dispute. Apparently we have been noisy since we moved in, and a month later the "accuser" just couldnt take it anymore with all the loud parties and music blaring all night long. Unfortunatly, I dont think I ever saw the clock strike 1am while I was still awake, and I can assure you there were no wild parties there, seeing as I was the only one living there for the better part of our 7 month stay.
I will say that the grounds crew does keep the landscaping fairly clean during the summer months, and the maintenance crew does quite timely work (our closet shelf fell down one night, and they fixed it the next day). Sadly, those are the two highlights of our 7 month stay at the Summit Sedgebrook.
Personally I would not live here again for anything. Just remember that after you sign that dotted line, its a downward spiral...
