Oh, where to begin' I moved from out of state while my husband was in Iraq and since it was a "luxury" apartment, I thought it'd be nice. Plus I read the reviews on this site (that the management mostly writes, i later found out...pathetic)so I thought it would be a good place to live for the remaining 8 months my husband had left in the Marines. NOT!! When I got into town, they hadn't even assigned me an apartment! At least not that they could find--I had to spend a night in a hotel (which I was never reimbursed for), even though I TOLD them exactly what date I was going to be coming in! But I had nowhere else to go so what could I do' Then I moved in. Here's where the fun begins. There were some repairs that hadn't been done to my apartment before I moved in, so I called down to the office to let them know. They said they'd send someone the next day. I waited the next day, then called before the office closed and they said they'd send someone the NEXT day. We played this game 3 times before I went down there and when I asked why they couldn't send maintenance over, they said it needed to be in writing. OK WHY COULDNT THEY TELL ME THAT TO BEGIN WITH!!!! So I had to write out the list of repairs that needed to be done, and when I took it down to the office, they told me that it would be done within SEVEN DAYS!!! And one of the repairs that needed to be done was my faucet in the bathroom----when I turned it on, it drizzled water. Also, and this is the one that really made me mad, when I tried to connect my washer and dryer the part that connects to the dryer was broken-so I had to wait to wash my clothes for a week, but thats fine, right' And it wasn't even 7 days...it turned out to be 8, but you really have to pick your battles, you know' Anyways, I broke my lease after 3 months and moved to Beacham Apartments: smaller, but they are soooo nice over there! So if you're considering moving to Abbington......DONT!!!!!!
