Just buy a house!

Don't know what it is but it never fails that rent goes up every year. When we moved in the carpet was disgusting, needed to be desperately cleaned, writing on walls from previous tenants' kids. They never did try to correct this. They keep the grounds very clean and cut. However the inside is another story. The kitchens could use new cabinets. The bathrooms could use some paint (hideous wall paper). Over all inside needs to be updated. I heard of people who never got their deposits back however they did fire that old manager and got a new one. Make sure you keep record of every payment you make. For what you pay you could probably do better. For a hundred dollars more we own a house. So if your going to be in the area for a while that might be your best bet. On the plus side Bluff Ridge has a walkable distance to mall and theater, and there is a firefighters dept. right next door. They do have washer and driers in every apartment however they are old and loud.

Military BEWARE!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!! Let me tell you. My husband is deployed and has been gone for a couple of months. He recently got extended, so as far as our living arrangements, they now have changed. I do not trust living here by myself because I have SEEN the landlord "Kim Branch" get verbally and close to physically violent. She is not a very nice lady.
I asked her if I could break the lease being that my husband is deployed. She said no way, no how, and she threatened me with an attorney.
I called my attorney and he said Military is protected by the law and we CAN break our lease, he also gave me all the legal documents to do so. I called my husbands command and had them send me a copy of his orders. All this was such a pain. Not to mention the landlord got SOOOO NASTY, it was really scary. Her eyes were so big she reminded me of Beetle Juice.
Here is a huge piece of advice, I had the time to do my research and I already had an attorney on base. I know a lot of apartment seekers are young and count on people like apartment managers to be honest and FAIR. This lady is NOT!!!! I also heard her talking DOWN about other tenants, accusing the wives cheating while the husband is away, which in my opinion that is none of her business. If you are looking to rent, the apartments next door may not LOOK as nice on the outside, but the apartment manager over there his name is LARRY, very nice and fair, honest man. No hassles, AND the bonus to all this, he is DRAMA FREE!!! Really reconsider moving to Bluffrige apartment. Good luck either way.

You probably expect everything to be handed to you since you are a young wifey. Wake-up call - in the business world you can't just "break leases" without having to jump through hoops...that is why they are called leases, not temporaries.

I agree with the original post. KIM IS A WITCH! UNFAIR! She is probably writing all these good responses and reviews! She is tacky, old and a freakin wack job! If she is talking about wives being whores she should look in the mirror!! I hated bluff ridge and I hated KIM! Military wives have the right to break leases and if in the real world you cannot, well here in J ville as long as you have orders you can! So whoever wrote that is STUPID!!!

You are right you can break the lease. But just beacause you are a "military wife" doesn't give you the right to break the lease. J ville is the real world. If you name is not on the lease you cannot break it. If you are an occupant you are not a lease holder, therfore you cannot break the lease. Also the only time a "military wife" can break the lease if she is not a lease holder is if she has power of attorney. Another thing most wives are not active duty which means they are not entitled to recieve a lease break. And that takes us back to POA. If you have that you're good
