Decent on the outside, crappy on the inside.

Years at this apartment: 2007-01-01 - 2009-01-01
I've been living here for about 2 years. They keep the outside looking pretty nice, but the inside is not the best. Sure, each apartment has a fireplace...we don't even use it. There aren't any light fixtures in the living room or bedrooms. The kitchen cabinets are disgusting. The appliances are really outdated. Most apartments have white walls, instead of the nice tan color walls shown on the website (which by the way is the manager Kim's apartment...Lucky Duck!) You only get vaulted ceilings in the 3rd floor apartments (Again, see Manager's apt. on the website). Sometimes it takes a while to get something fixed in your apartment. And sometimes, they don't even come to fix it at all! Yes, that's happened! And it sucks if you live above smokers. You share the same ventilation system. If they smoke in their apartment, the smoke rises and comes through your vents. As soon as BAH goes up, you can bet that if you renew your lease, your rent will be about $50 higher a month than before. We went from paying $745 to $820, and if we renew our lease this year, we'll be paying $870. I wish there was a law against raising prices like that. I don't know how civilian families can afford to live here! They need to update the inside of these apartments before they can start charging as much as The Reserve does. It's craziness.
