About to move in...

I've looked at these apartments twice, and have already paid our sec. deposit. The bedrooms are a little on the small side, but kitchen/dining room makes up for it. The whole apt was freshly painted and carpets were cleaned. I will agree that the property managers were not so professional, but NO ONE is Jacksonville is. I've read all the reviews, and if you're having problems with gunshot, call the police and complain to the office. Anytime you have a complaint, make it in writing. If they are not keeping up with their end of the deal, and you have proof that you have filed complaints, you can break your lease. For the price. you really can't beat it. The only apartments in Jacksonville that are modern, or "up to date" are the newly built ones. But for those you will be paying more. They have a dishwasher, and washer and dryer hook ups. They don't look so great from the outside, but you'll feel different once you go inside, and check out the other options here in Jacksonville. The rent for a 1 year lease with pet fee is only 555. Water/sewage, trash, pool, and lawn is included. It's worth checking out. The parking space is a little tight, I will agree with that, but in the building we will be living in, I've only seen 4 cars in the parking lot. If you have questions about parking passes and such, tell them what you've read, and ask if its true. If they're not going to be professional and tell you about the place, ask a million questions. As long as you are nice and willing to work with them, I dont see why there would be a problem. But if you're military, there is a USO landlord thing, you can complain to them, and THEY WILL take care of it for you.
