Where to begin.
#1 Management invests in new shrubbery and landscaping every 6 months, when monies could be spend in 100 other areas of need.
#2 Laundry facilities require quarters. No change machines, which causes residents to rely on Exon, the car wash and other business for change. Most of the time they won't give out rolls of quarters.
#3 Apartments are not updated what so ever. My toilet has a date of 1977 imprinted on it, and is not the most attractive thing.
#4 Balconies are rotten and it will only be a matter of time
#5 No privacy at all when it comes to hearing your neighbors every move, moves that you really don't want to hear.
#6 Pets are allowed to do their "do" and it is never picked up, along with the type of pet that is technically NOT allowed under the lease..but somehow I was living near an AKITA.
#7 Car theft is frequent
#8 Shootings occur
#9 Residents apparently go through nothing but a credit check. A rapist can have good credit.
#10 Noisy all day, everyday.
#11 The water bill is processed through the apartment complex, which an average is $25-$30 for a 1 bedroom apartment. My friend ownes a 5 bedroom, 2 story house with a family of 5, lawn etc. and pay $25 for her water. Go figure.
#12 Rent is way to high for what it is, $600 or more for a 1 bedroom apartment is very high for the area, you can rent a house twice the size for the same price.
#13 A sink hole was created by a large storm MONTHS ago, and finally construction has started, which is now taking up half of the parking lot, inconveniencing every tenant, not to mention the noise at 7am.
#14 The view outside your balcony or door, is usually your neighbors trash and tacky decor.
#15 Serious termite infestations where left to be taped by scotch tape as a solution.
#16 Prehistoric gym facility
#17 Black mold growing under kitchen sinks.
#18 Stray cats are a problem, which they never address. I have called the Humane Society myself SEVERAL TIMES.
#19 Trash is everywhere, beer bottles etc. Nobody enforces rules.
#20 UNSAFE AND CONSIDERED THE "BAD" Neighborhood. But shoot it makes the newspaper once a week...WHAT A JOKE.
