I lived at Liberty Crossing for 6 months. I have never lived in a place that was this bad.
*it is in a bad part of town (people fight in the back of Kmart parking lot at 3 am)
*the apartments are nasty
*the rent is OUTRAGEOUS
*you have to pay a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per animal (which covers nothing in the end)
*you pay an extra amount each month to have the animals in the apartment
*you can hear EVERYTHING in the apartment to the sides and above you...i mean EVERYTHING
*if you have a smoker for a neighbor, your apartment will smell just like you smoked in it ("there's nothing we can do about it. people are allowed to smoke in their apartments")
*i've called the office to have maintenance come fix things and no one's ever given them the message (even when you call and call and go in)
*people's dogs go to the bathroom on the lawn in front of your apartment and never pick it up
*beer bottles and trash everywhere
*office staff seems to really hate their jobs
*carpets had old cheerios and other food bits stuck in it when we moved in...still had to pay almost $200 for them to clean the carpets when we moved out
*toilets take about 4 flushes to even begin to flush
*dryer hook-up is located in the second bedroom's closet
*practically no storage at all!

Overall, I do not recommend this place to anyone! You could rent a nice 3 br house for as much as we paid here for a 2 br! Save your money and yourself from a migrane when you try and move out...look around...there are plenty of places besides this one!!!

MOST PLACES charge an extra amount each month if you have a pet. I can agree with one thing, the pets going to the bathroom and no one picking it up. I do have a dog, and in front of our apartment they supply little bags to clean up, I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS clean up after my pet, but somehow always end up with poop on my shoes because other people don't clean up. This isn't THEIR fault though, other people are messy there's really nothing management can do about it!
I've never had a problem with the office staff, but I've talked to a few people who have!
I'll have to disagree that there's no storage though. I live in a 1-bedroom and we have 4 huge closets. Maybe the 2 bedrooms are different!

This is ridiculous- the office staff works very hard to keep the residents happy. I have lived there for years and never ever had a problem with any of the staff. Some people obviously don't know how to clean their apartment or take care of their pets. and "migrane" is spelled M-I-G-R-A-I-N-E.....

i lived there for over a year and decided to upgrade my apartment. since it was the middle of the month i was told that the rent would be only 450. after that it would go back to 695. then when the first came around i get a note on my door that says my rent is 720 for the month. a few days later i get another note that says 845. i go up to the office and asked them how much is my rent. it was only supposed to be 450 this month. they told me no it is 695. i told them it was -------- to give me four different rents and when i asked her to pick one of the four she said it was 845. if i didnt pay it in 5 days i would be evicted. well i told her to f off and got evicted becouse the people at the office dont know what their job is. and yes you get fined before your dogs crap hits the yard. i always picked up my dogs crap. and becouse of all the stray cats i was getting fined for their poop. if you cant tell the difference between cat poop and a 45 pound dogs crap then you are a moron. and i lived in a one bedroom there for a year. there was no space. i had two closets and a sorry excuse for a closet under my neighbors steps. and when i moved into a duplex a year later my closet there is bigger than the kitchens at liberty crossing. and i have to say the staff was the dumbest and rudest people i ever met in my life

We lived at Liberty Crossings for about 5 months... I always found the people that work in the office to be friendly and really nice, but when our faucet was leaking, they said that they would send someone over in 3 days, and it took 2 and a half weeks until someone finally did show up. The rent is INSANE for what youre paying for, especially in the Jacksonville area. They charge you $200 just to move out to get the carpets cleaned, which your deposit goes toward, but the deposit is only $50 (at least it was for us, they had a special deal going on when we moved in and our first months rent was only $25 plus the deposit) I could sometimes hear the people in the apartment next to us talking, and this was probably just because of the people I lived next to, could hear the bass from their stereo, and it would shake the walls!! (and they always listened to techno at like 11pm lol) We never had any pets, but there is always dog crap in the grass... They're also very ---- about their rules, at least they want you to think they are, they hand out practically a book of rules when the pool opens up, but they dont do anything to enforce them.... the Kitchen is TINY, the closets are pretty small, the only one that was a decent size was the one in the second bedroom... the bathrooms are small, and our windows were rusty and hard to open, and once you did open it, they would slide right back shut.... The area is close to shopping, although the plaza across the street is kind of run down... I wouldnt say it was a completely terrible place to live, but it was extremely over priced, and definately not worth what you payed for it.
