I've lived here since april 2007 and I was in a two bedroom corner unit, which was bigger than most and had more windows. It's true the apartments are old and run down. It's true there are many coats of paint on the walls but I've seen a lot of other peoples apartments in Jax and they are pretty comparable and depending on what base housing you get it's better than base. They also allow bigger dogs which is important for a lot of people but be warned....there is dog poop anywhere there is grass. It's gross. I only speak to Lisa Wilson in the leasing office because she is nice and helpful. Shannon the front desk girl has no idea what's going on and tried to charge me a 300 fee that Lisa took off for me. We're moving soon because we're PCS'ing but for the most part I was happy here. The maintenance guys are great. I rarely hear my neighbors. The fitness center is a treadmill and two bikes with two weight machines...not too exciting. Laundry is $3 a load.
