At first glance Puller Place is beautiful! No other place offers things like crown molding and granite but there are several underlying problems that you wont realize until its too late!!!

1. PARKING: Why do we have parking stickers' First of all parking is a TOTAL nightmare. Visitors have no place to park and you have to get a space by 3pm or good luck. On any night I can walk down the sidewalk in front of my building and count at least 6-8 cars without parking stickers. What happened to "We tow"' What is the point of the garages when only 1 or 2 people use them' The parking lots are always flooded either from the sprinklers or the rain. How many times was paving rescheduled' We get notices stuck on our doors that say you cant park in your lot until such and such date or paving will start at 6am... Did it happen' NO. On more than one occasion people had to move their cars to the other side of the community only to have pavement postponed because one man didnt move his truck. They threaten "we will tow, its an $85 charge. I have not once seen a tow truck on this property!

2. QUALITY: Like I said, when you first move in you're thinking "my apartment is so nice" ect, but dont even consider rearranging your furniture because paint will come off. We live in Eastern North Carolina, there is humidity and the paint will run. The water pressure almost doesnt exist, but when maintanence was called they said that the state regulates the water pressure which Im sure is somewhat true but it should be more than a drip. The carpet is STILL shedding. I was told that it's because its new and it will eventually stop well I have almost lived here a year and I still have to empty the vacuum twice, and I vacuum every other day! Contractors did a horrible job sealing the bathtub and it will leak. Some tile in my bathroom is uneven and the grout is starting to crack from the building settling I guess and Im sure I will be charged for it even though Im not the one that installed the tile!

3. Office Staff: Really love their money. Prices for apartments keep going up. The leasing agent doesnt know what she's talking about. You can call to ask a question and its almost like she makes up something off the top of her head. Kathy, the propery manager is very nice, and we havent ever had any problems with her. When our move in date was pushed back almost 2 months she did everything she could to get us in ASAP but it still caused a lot of headaches because we had told our previous housing that we would be out by such and such date then had to end up leaving our stuff on a moving truck and staying with friends. The rent checks dont clear the bank until way after you pay it. We were told that the checks are taken to the bank everyday but I always give them the check on or before the first and it doesnt post to my account until the 10th or 11th and we bank with the same bank!!

4. OTHER: The pool didnt open until summer was over. The car center is there but you can't use it. The trash compactor is always full. The pest people never show up when they are supposed to, and when they come they dont do anything! They walk into the kitchen and bathroom, take a look around, and then theyre done! Luckily we havent ever seen anything other than a few spiders. The noise from the neighbors is horrible, they play loud music and video games all hours of the night. We have asked them to turn it down after 10pm because my husband has to get up very early and the baby is woken up several times during the night. There are a lot of parties in my building, one that was on a Sunday night and we eventually had to call the police to get them to be quiet. Drunk people pull the fire alarms at 3am. We have heard gun shots, and had lasers shone in our windows. Some drunk guys had a paintball gun battle in the unfinished misquito infested courtyard and management hasnt done anything about it. Why do we have to have Broadstar services' The local news is sometimes out of Charlotte and if it rains hard you can expect the cable not to work. My husband was looking into Directv but they told him that Puller Place charges an outrageous fee for you to hook up your satellite.

We cant wait until our lease is up. My friend lives at Abbington Place and she never has any of these problems. As high as the rent is you might as well buy a house! Only two more months and we can MOVE! DONT LIVE HERE YOU WILL HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Abbington Place. Be very careful if you move there. They completely lied to some friends of mine and ruined their credit over something that was not my friends' fault. Abbington has yet to fix the mistake. Also, if you are bothered by noise from next door and loud parties, you are going to be even more unhappy at Abbington. Just wanted to warn you... Good luck!

Thanks for the advice about Abbington. We arent planning on moving there, we are actually going to Hawaii. Luckily my husband has orders so we are able to break our lease without any problems!

I live at Abbington now and haven't had any problems with noise. The parking has been fine at our building and pest control people come once a month and more if you ask them to- on the day you ask them to. They are quick with maintenance too. I guess it depends on who you end up having as neighbors but I've lived at Abbington since May and all is good.

U SHOULD ALL LOOK INTO RENTING HOMES THRU A REALTOR. yOU GET MORE ROOM FOR YOUR MONEY AND NOT THE HASSLES OF NOISE OR PARKING. WHERE I RENT A TOWNHOUSE I GET 2 SPOTS THAT ARE MINE AND NOBODY ELSE PARKS THERE! ANYTHING WRONG I MAKE A CALL AND SOMEONE COMES ASAP. THANKS FOR THE INFO AS I WAS LOOKING AT THE AMMENITIES BUT NOW AFTER ALL OF THAT..FORGET IT. I'M HAPPY RIGHT WHERE I'M AT. THANKS GANG!
