After reading the other reviews, I thought The Crowne needed a newer review. I have lived here for a year next month and I really like it. I'll just mention some things that others have:

Parking - we live closer to the back, so parking isn't usually a problem. sometimes if we come home late at night we'll have to park at the other end of our building, but never further. If you want to live near the front you may just have to deal.

Safety/Crime - the incident with the TVs in the workout room is the ONLY thing I have heard about so far. they were really good about letting everyone know what happened so we could feel informed and like they were on top of things. 90% of the time you will see families with children, people with dogs, couples, old and young going for walks, going to the playground. i think as long as everyone keeps going outside and doesn't get scared it will stay safe.

Noise - i think this depends on your building and floor for any apartment you rent. we were on the third floor so it was relatively quiet. you could occasionally hear neighbors talking, but only if they really yelled. i don't know how soundproof the ceilings/floors are if you are below someone. outdoor noise isn't bad either, sometimes on the weekends but mostly people just coming and going, they aren't hanging around outside making noise. again i think if people don't tolerate that stuff, it won't be a problem.

Maintenance - is great! really, the best of any apartment complex i've lived in. (4 total, all in Greensboro) the guys are always friendly and don't mind coming to help you.

Apartment Interior - we had a 2 bedroom and it is really spacious. lost of closet space and a huge living room. we've had people come over and say it's bigger than their house. (and this is only a 2 bedroom!) more than enough room for two people and a pet. we are moving to a 1br this week. I think my only complaint about the design of the 3 br is that the AC/furnace is RIGHT OUTSIDE the bedroom door and was really noisy. if you're a light sleeper, you might want to consider a floor plan with the AC away from the bedroom.

Overall, I think this is a great place to live, if you are used to apartment living. It has a very safe feel to it and I like that there are mostly families and married couples living here. (No offense single people, but singles in apartment complexes tend to be noisy partyers) It isn't really near any colleges, except HPU and GTCC, but in general, the mix of people is very diverse so it keeps it interesting.

Well considering that you don't know me at all, I don't see how you can say any of those things. But all I'm saying is, I've lived in bad apartment complexes with crime, drugs, noise, etc., and this certainly IS NOT one of them.
