The point is, when we moved here in 1998, most of the people who moved here during the leaseup, made too much income, and management knew it.
They basically changed the applications, papers, statements and letters from the employers to make people qualify.
It's a shame to have a company be such cheats! And it's tax credit apartments too.
HUD should go back and look at the resident files from 1998 to 1999.
They would see it as plain as day.
That's why they had so much problem with the residents --they lost respect becaue the residents knew the company was crooks!

This apartment Oakcrest Apartments are liars and hate african american people. I had an elderly mom and pregnant daughter with her boyfriend who had no where to live with a steady income to pay rent there and they turned them away for no reason. This is three people who has never been into any trouble and never rented an apartment a day in there life. They were about to bring a newborn baby girl into the world and now she has no place to live. Like I've always said this part of NC does not like african american people and it's been this way for ever. I hope the people who worked in this apartment who has families of their own remember this day forever. By the way you need to take that helping people ---- off your phone and off website because you don't help people your hurt them more.

I'm a current resident at this apartment complex, and when I first moved I thought that I found the ideal apartment. I signed the lease two days before I was to move in and it was all good, until three months later I got a note on my door informing me that I owed for moving in two days early and for the lights being on for two days while it was in the complex name, remind you they didn't tell me that I was going to owe extra money when I signed the lease, and I would'nt have had a problem with it if I was told in advance, so that was a red flag, also the staff do not tell you on the day that you sign your lease that they(staff) will be coming into your apartment monthly to inspect your place, and they will come in and you're not home, remind you they will send out a memo on one day and be in your apartment the next day, so that's another red flag. The maintenance department is sooo noisy, especially the maintenace supervisor, he likes to fix stuff in your apartment when you're not at home, you can be home all day and he will not come unless he notice your vehicle not at home, and he likes to stay late, like when the sun goes down, tell me what single person is going to let a strange person in their home when he/she has had all day to come to your apartment to handle business, so that's another red flag. Also if you go to the office for any reason most of the time the doors are locked because they don't want to be bothered with anyone unless it's the week that the rent is due, then you may get in and if you call for any reason they will sit at their desks and look at the caller id and not answer the phone. The staff will call the police if they see you sitting outside because they don't want anyone outside, come on Oak Crest Staff it's Hot outside.
