We have lived at Abbotts Creek for over 5 years now. The first 2 years were great! After that, things went downhill. It is at an all time low right now. The dumpster is always overflowing, ashtrays are never emptied (i take that back....they get emptied maybe once a month), my son can't even play outside without stepping in dog crap, activities for tenants are pretty much non-existant (and when there is a tenant related activity, it's over before 5:00pm which is when the majority of people get off work), and the office staff seem to be completely incompetant. It's very difficult to even speak to anyone face to face because the office is closed when I go to work and closed when I get home. They say they close at 5:30, but I've rushed home before and been there at 5:20 and the office is already closed. I personally have never had major issues with maintenance, but I know several neighbors who have. I could go on and on, but I won't. Needless to say, as soon as our lease is up, we're finally out!

I have lived out here for 2 years and I will have to say that I love it out here! The staff has always been helpful and I have never had a problem with the office being closed early, in fact they are open on the weekends.

If you are having issues w/ a kid stepping in dog crap, try taking the kid to the playground! Duh!

I am a bit surprised that someone would post a comment that implies people are not supposed to walk on the grounds. Take the kid to the playground? What about adults that just want to walk around the grounds. Sorry, the way I see it, pet owners should be responsible and clean up after their pets. And if they don't, management should address the issue and correct it. I am considering this place but after reading some of these posts, I have serious doubts! |

The ones that live here are the ones to clean up after their dogs!! The management can only do so much. You can not make people do what they do not want to do. I know they fine residents when caught but residents can not be watched 24/7!!!! If you can not make it to the office during the week.......try the weekend!! That is what I do! Be glad that they have "Resident Functions" that is not something they have to do!!! |

I think this is an accurate comment, I don't own a pet because I don't want the responsibilty of keeping up after it. I love animals and I'm grateful for people that are responsible pet owners. But it is everyones responsibilty to follow the rules. Pet rules are very specific and if they are not followed everyone has to deal with it. It does appear that the standards around the property are improving, but that is probably just because the property is for sale. The comment About "Be glad that they have "Resident Functions" that is not something they have to do!!!"... This is what they tell prospective residents as one of the incentives to sign a lease. Therefore it would be very bad business not to have "Resident Functions".
