Living in this place is a nightmare. I'm surrounded by neighbors that are trash, there's one guy that beats up his girlfriend and trashes his apartment about once a month, sometimes more, and all of them are extremely noisy, slamming doors all the time and talking loud in the hallways. Kids use the hallways as a playground to play dodgeball, yelling and bouncing basket balls against the walls. Sometimes there are loud parties at the pool with rap music playing at a volume that can be heard from one block away. Unscrupulous people rev up their big trucks and engines with no mufflers often, and since the quality of construction is pathetic you can hear it like if they were three feet away.
I've had to call the police dozens of time for one reason or another, and they found out it was me so now they are trying to intimidate me and this [insert expletive here] keeps on kicking my satellite dish, it's been three times already. I feel unsafe and I'm a nervous wreck thanks to living in this dump of a place. I would not recommend this place to anybody, unless you don't mind extremely noisy neighbors that don't give a damn about anybody. Oh, and don't even waste your time complaining to the manager, she doesn't give a damn either. The head maintainance guy is good though, it's the only plus of this place, but it doeesn't make up for the nightmare that is living here. I previously lived in another place that was mostly meant for college students and while it was a dump too, it was great compared to this.
Oh, and if you prefer Time Warner Cable to Directv then that's another reason to look elsewhere. There's no Time Warner Cable service here, they have a small company providing cable that according to one employee of the complex who doesn't work here anymore, has terrible service, so you're pretty much stuck with Directv, which is crap, the service has gone downhill year after year. Even worse, they force you to sign a one year contract, which is why I can't leave this damn place, because I would have to pay Directv $200 to get off the contract.
In conclusion, if you want a peaceful living, and you don't want things that belong to you vandalized, look for another apartment complex.

The problems here were with tenants, not with the apartments. It is definitely not a dump. Also, a year lease is NOT required. I have a 6 month lease, and that is a standard option. The manager has worked very well to accommodate my needs. Satellite dishes are not allowed, so I'm not sure how the Satellite dish plays in here. And. . .I had no problems with my cable service.
