Do NOT move here!! I moved in this place in 2005 when it was the Drake. It was a great deal for the area. It was decent then. Fast forward to the time it became "the Legacy." It was all down hill from there. The staff is unfriendly. As people have posted before, the water was off the entire business day more times than I can count, once for an entire week. I am a stay at home mother with 2 small children. So, you can imagine how difficult that is. We actually had to leave because of the lack of water. There was no compensation for this inconvenience. When you try calling the office to find out what's going on, they're nonresponsive, in most cases, letting the answering service pick up. As far as the grounds go, it is almost impossible to avoid mounds of dog crap. Residents are only supposed to have dogs 25 pounds or less, yeah right. I can think of about 3 or 4 residents w/ dogs much bigger than that. They never pick up behind their animals, instead they just leave their crap spread out on the lawn. It's disgusting. Add to that the fact that the ducks/geese leave their crap all along the back sidewalk, so you have to constantly watch your step when walking along there. I don't think I've ever seen them clean that up. Once, maintenance was repairing or looking at the ac unit outside my window, and they were talking pretty loud and using obscenities. Again, I have small children. I don't wanna hear that mess. Our water heater constantly leaked, causing huge build ups of water and mold in our hallway. Maintenance came out several times to repair it, but it was never fixed. It kept occurring. Parking is horrible. This place is ghetto. On several occasions, I have experienced neighbors arguing VERY loudly in the parking lot, shouting cuss words at each other. There are other neighbors that constantly play their guitar and blare music. The office had a "pool party" last summer and the dj played the music very loud and this music had bad language. The pool was completely disgusting this past summer. We had to turn around and go back home many times because there seemed to be a film of "grease" on top, leaves and debris piled up. People bringing their radios to the pool could play obscene music as loud as they want. When moving out, they didn't tell us that the security deposit we made when it was the Drake had no effect anymore. It's basically just wasted money. You don't get it back, and it surely doesn't go towards the repairs of anything in your apartment when you move. You don't find out until you receive a bill in the mail after you move. We moved out of this place as soon as our lease was up. I do NOT advise anyone to move in here. It's horrible. Find a better place to live!

Totally agree with the review. The crowd living there has progressively gotten worse. I see kids running around with spray paints in the night. i dont think they care about background checks and other inane things anymore. just show em the money and u can end up here!! stay away....ill get out as soon as possible.

IN RESPONSE TO THE LAST REVIEW,MY NAME IS ROGER.I'M HAPPY TO LIVE HERE,AFTER LOOKING AT ALL MY OPTIONS,THE PRICE,THE ALMOST LIKE NEW APT.,TWO BEDROOM,CATHEDRAL CEILING,FIREPLACE,ALL NEW APPL'S.ETC.THE OFFICE STAFF IS EASY TO TALK TO,THE MAINTENANCE,WHEN I'VE NEEDED THEM,IS QUICK,AND PROFFESONAL.THE GROUNDS ARE KEPT UP GREAT.THE CLUBHOUSE/WORKOUT ROOMS ARE REALLY GREAT.THE POOL WAS ALWAYS CLEAN,AND I HAD TO CALL A FEW PEOPLE DOWN,THAT I FOUND OUT WERE GUEST,DIDN'T LIVE HERE,YOUNG AND HAD NO RESPECT FOR OTHERS.I MOVED HERE BECAUSE IT HSD BEEN BOUGHT OUT,AND UPGRADED.THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE WATER DEPT.RAISED THE PRESSURE WHICH BLEW OUT OLDER PIPES NOT MADE TWENTY YRS. AGO TO FEED ALL THE NEW RESIDENTS EAST OF HERE.I HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT WITH THE CONDO I OWNED AT FOXRIDGE,UP MONROE RD.MY VISITING FAMILY AND ME WITH TWO CARS HAVE NO PROBLEM PARKING.TO UP GRADE AN APT. COMPLEX YOU ARE GOING TO PAY MORE RENT,IT'S WORTH IT.EDUCATION IN THE SCHOOL OF LIFE TELLS YOU THAT,COMMON SENSE JUST IS'T REAL COMMON.
