TERRIBLE! MANAGMENT IS AWEFUL

I moved here in March of 2004. My freezer didn't work so they replaced it with a unit that opened the wrong way which makes it very inconvient. When they took the old one out, it sat on the breezeway until June '05 (over a year) after I asked them four times when it would be moved.
I also had constant roof leaks and water damage. 10 leaks in a year. Each time I called, all they did was spray some paint over the leak. In March, the new managment co. took over. They finally started construction on the roof so I renewed my lease for six months, in the middle of roof repair we had a really bad rain. It was pouring rain in my apartment. My bathroom was pretty much flooded. I had to move my bed to avoid getting dripped on that night. COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!
After they replaced the roof, there was another bad rain, this leak was in my closet and my clothes were damaged. They came out and "fixed it". A week and a half later when it rained again, the same spot leaked again, but much worse. They came out and fixed it again.
Now I have bugs. Roaches, spiders, and silverfish. A spider crawled across my neck while I was sleeping, I found a roach in my kitchen, and everytime I go to take a shower, I find silverfish. YUK!
They did not offer any compensation, and when I asked to be let out of my lease, they said I would have to pay a fee to break my lease. I talked to three different people in management and not one offered compensation.
They all seemed to be so nice and I thought they would be so good to the tenants. Boy, was I ever wrong!
WHO PAYS THEIR BILLS' THE TENANTS! You would think they would try to make you feel somewhat significant.
Safe yourself the headache do not rent to Stephen H Bell Management Companies.

Hey, moron, the reason they didn't "let" you out of your lease was because of that big stack of papers you signed the day you moved in. Remember? Yeah, well, those happen to be very legal and very binding documents. You signing your name at the bottom of every friggin page signifies that you read and agree to the terms described therein. Do banks simply let you out of your mortgage payment? Car payment? MMM, don't think so. All apartments function under the same standard operating procedures, so don't be surprised.
