DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I have never in my life seen such a beautiful apartment complex run by such unprofessional managment! I've lost count of how many times I have come home and recieved a blanket letter on my door and the doors of my neighbors threatning LEGAL ACTION against the residents of this property, even though I have done nothing and I'm sure most of my neighbors are innocent as well. I feel nothing but negative energy comming from the management who also encourages spying on your fellow neighbors, yes thats right SPYING! (See below) Also these walls must have been made out of cardboard because you can hear everything in the apartments around you. If you enjoy being treated like a prisoner in a POW camp, spied on or being threatened by legal action though you have done nothing then this is the place for you! If not then please take my advise and move along. One thing is for sure I WILL NOT be renewing my lease here! Good Riddance!

The following is a taken from a letter written by the management of Abberly Green

October 5, 2008

"Abberly Green Apartment Homes reserves the right to have any pet removed from the premisis and may initiate LEGAL ACTION if the pet owners are acting in a way that disturbs the rights or comfort of any member of the community."

****Ok, I don't even own a pet so why am I recieving this letter' Oh thats right the spying.

"If you see someone letting their dog out unattended or not picking up after their pet please call us immediately. IF IT IS AFTER BUSINESS HOURS, TAKE A PICTURE AND BRING IT TO US."

****What'! What is this place 1930's Germany' Sometimes I wonder....

So, you would rather step in pet waste and have the community overrun with animals? It sounds to me like they are trying to actually manage the irresponsible pet owners. Typically, these types of letters are posted to all residents for several reasons: 1. Illegal or Guest pet "owners" may not be aware of the rules/wouldn't receive the notice otherwise, and 2. It lets the non-pet owners know that violations do not go unnoticed and are not tolerated. But, if you would rather live somewhere that ignores issues and doesn't respond to complaints, then perhaps you would be more comfortable elsewhere. By the way, having a pet in an apartment community is considered a privilege. They have every right to revoke the privilege to those who do not follow the (simple/commonsense) regulations, most of which are county ordinances anyway. If you are not a pet owner/guilty of the offense then you have nothing to worry about.

I was one of the many residents who requested this letter be written. We went to management because the dog feces in the lawn and pets off their leashes were intolerable. We have lived at Abberly Green since it opened and have been nothing but impressed by the response by the staff-this letter "did the job" and pet owners are now taking more accountability for their responsiblility. I agree with Christiansen-as a none pet owner I not only did not take offense to the letter but commend Danielle for writing it-thank you for keeping our community a top notch place to live.
